The templates module allows you to create new templates for job sheets, invoices, quotes, reports etc and make alterations to existing templates.
The fields are:
- Title - the name of the template.
- Description - details about the template, shown when the template is selected in the reports or exports section.
- Type - a drop-down which determines which section the template is available in.
- Group - used for reports and exports, groups help to categorise templates to make them easier to find.
- Branch Access - allows a template to be made available only for a selected branch. Leave as 'All' for the template to be available at all branches.
- Minimum Access - users can have their 'Report Access' set to one of these values. Set this to prevent certain users from being able to use the template. Access is ascending from 'Production' up to 'Any'.
- Customised - if 'Yes' then the template won't be replaced when Blaq updates are performed.
- File Name - for exports, the name the exported file should be given.
- Base Template - allows a PDF to be used as the background for a template.
- Function - a function that should be run when a template is run.
- Page Size - for PDF templates, the size of the page in the PDF.
- Orientation - for PDF templates, whether the page in the PDF should be Portrait or Landscape.
- Margins - top, bottom, left, right - the size in millimetres of the page margins.
Template- Title - the title that will appear in the transaction or reports menu.
- Post Transactions - will post these closed transactions and update them with a batch number.
- Post Payments - will post these closed payments and update them with a batch number.
Access- Minimum Access - this determines which employees can access the template.
File Details- File Name - the name of the pdf/text file that will be created.
- Base File - a pdf file to use as a background for the main document.
- Attachment - a pdf file to attach after the main document.
QueriesQueries are SQL scripts used to pull data from Blaq into a template.
BandsEach template is made up of a number of bands and each band will normally have a number of components added to it, such as text, an equation or image.
LayoutThe Layout section enables you to modify the design of your template.
